Foster

Foster is a designer sofa bed with a single seat cushion which embodies modern luxury. A high-end convertible piece distinguished by its sophisticated aesthetics without compromising the functionality of a bed with an integrated slatted base. Available in 2- or 3-seater versions as well as large formats measuring 240, 260, or 280 cm in length, it includes a small double, French double, or standard double mattress with a height of 10 cm.
Presented at the Salone del Mobile 2026, Foster is the result of a collaboration between Milano Bedding and French designer Christophe Pillet, who created a refined design project capable of delivering the sofa’s dual function - sofa by day, bed by night - without sacrificing a modern and captivating aesthetic that brings a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere to any interior. The sofa is defined by its sculptural, enveloping lines, highlighted by wide curved armrests that create a pleasing visual continuity with the low backrest fitted with loose cushions. The seat is also low-profile, consisting of a single long cushion concealing the functional core of the convertible system.
Foster is equipped with the patented Lampolet transformation mechanism, a system renowned for its ease of use, safety, and long-lasting durability. The sleeping surface is opened simply by pulling out the seat, quickly and effortlessly, after removing the single cushion. Depending on the selected bed compartment size, the slatted base is fitted with a high-resilience polyurethane foam mattress available in widths of 120, 140, or 160 cm.
Foster is delivered disassembled for easier transportation. Its upholstery is completely removable - a feature that simplifies maintenance - and can be customised in fabric, leather, or faux leather in a wide range of contemporary colours.

Upholstery
Foster is available in fabric, faux leather, and leather in all the colours featured in the sample collection. The sofa has fully removable covers and can be cleaned according to the care instructions specific to each upholstery material .

Foster is equipped with backrest cushions 55 x 45 cm (n.2 for 240 and 260 cm sofas; n.3 for 280 cm sofas).
